the Howe Cup
Nearly a century of the US National Women's Team Squash Championship, told as a running timeline of every host city and winning team, grouped by the decade it was won.
The
Origins.
In 1928, three cities sent their best women's club teams to settle who played the finest squash in the country: New York, Philadelphia and Boston. That first inter-city match became the Howe Cup, and the rivalry never really stopped.
The permanent trophy arrived in 1955, donated by Virginia Griggs and named for Margaret Howe.
